A meeting with mission of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) was held

Today, the Chairman of the Board of the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) Orkhan Mammadov met with the IFC Country Head for Azerbaijan – Aliya Azimova, Senior PPP Lead Philip Drapak and İnvestment Lead Aknur Jumatova.

Chairman of the Board Orkhan Mammadov informed about the activities of the PPP Development Center functioning within the structure of the Agency, the launch of the official website of the Center, the on-line training platform, the institutional environment of PPP in our country, the planned PPP projects and the database on them. He also noted that work is ongoing in the field of improvement of the PPP’s regulatory framework, and a new Draft Law covering all PPP models, has been prepared and submitted to the national Parliament.

At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on joint cooperation in the field of PPP, the provision of technical, financial and expert support for projects in this area with the participation of small and medium business, the creation of a Project Development Fund, as well as the possibility of certifying employees of the PPP Development Center.
